Product description
The PROFI 1000/180 HD is a robust, medium-weight centre lathe with heavy, shock-absorbing grey cast iron base and machine bed. The machine runs extremely smoothly thanks to precision bearings and a weight of 1,200 kg, and is designed for continuous heavy use. It enables turning production over carriage of up to Ø 210 x 1,000 mm. The maximum turning diameter is 360 mm. Without the machine bridge, it is possible to produce workpieces up to Ø 508 mm. The extra large spindle bore diameter of 40 mm is also ideal. The PROFI 1000/180 HD is powered by a 2,400 watt motor, offers 12 speed and 42 feed rates and 128 thread pitches. A mechanical spindle brake ensures a fast spindle stop and contributes to good performance figures. The tank and pump of a coolant system are integrated into the machine base. Optimum safety is provided by a position stop that prevents chuck collision, a chuck protection device with safety switch, overload protection for the feeds, a zero-voltage release as protection against automatic restart after power failure and an emergency stop button. For maximum precision and efficient serial use of the machine, a SINO digital position indicator and the use of a quick-change steel holder set are recommended.
